Making EVERY home warm, safe, and dry
HOW WE WORK

Give Back Day
The Give Back Day program matches corporate partners with nonprofit facilities in need of repair and improvements. This effort involves the participation of employee volunteer teams in community improvement projects, and provides a setting in which employees can work together while serving a community need.
Safe At Home
Safe at Home provides low-cost, high-impact home modifications and minor repairs, such as installing grab bars, securing or installing railings on interior and exterior stairs, adding toilet risers and shower bench chairs, switching out traditional shower heads with hand-held models, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, and installing doorbells.
Make A Difference Day
Every year on the 4th Saturday in October, volunteers provide repairs to homes in one neighborhood. Volunteers install grab bars, hand rails, smoke alarms, CO detectors, doorbells and other safety- focused repairs to help residents live in safety and independence.
Grant Based Programs
Through our home repair program, we work toward our vision of safe homes and communities for everyone. We prioritize repairs that enable you to continue living in warmth, safety, and comfort in your own home. Qualification for free home repairs is based on both financial eligibility and the type of work needed, with priority given to elderly and disabled homeowners.
National Rebuilding Day
National Rebuilding Day is the visible culmination of this home repair program and occurs annually around the last Saturday in April. Teams of volunteers work in partnership with the community to repair homes and improve neighborhoods of local residents.
Impact 2021
Impact 2021 was a project that occurred during 2021 and was limited to exterior work due to COVID restrictions. Amongst the exterior work, you had volunteers help with landscaping and lawn care, to keep volunteers, staff, and homeowners safe. Various home improvements were made during this difficult time.
