Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago has repaired over 1,600 homes and 200 community facilities with the help of tens of thousands of volunteers.
Who We Are
Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago believes in a safe and healthy home for everyone, and is dedicated to improving the homes and communities of elderly, disabled and low-income residents so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and independence.
What We Do
Since 1991, we have repaired over 1,600 homes and 250 community facilities, with the assistance of tens of thousands of volunteers. We work in partnership with communities, corporations, trade unions, service clubs, and volunteers, with an overall goal to improve the homes and neighborhoods of disadvantaged residents. We have found that our efforts, particularly when concentrated within a small geographic area, are sustainable and often act as a catalyst for additional neighborhood improvements.
Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago is an affiliate of Rebuilding Together, a national organization dedicated to providing critical home repairs, modifications and improvements for low-income homeowners. Collectively, Rebuilding Together affiliates has completed work on more than 100,000 homes and engaged 3.4 million volunteers to deliver $1.3 billion in market value since its founding in 1988.
In the spirit of volunteerism and community partnership, Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago improves the homes and neighborhoods of elderly, disabled and low-income residents so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and comfort.
